Virtual Research Showcase 2021
Each Friday afternoon in May we will showcase research from our student and ECR members. This will lead up to our annual AGM and a presentation of awards including a keynote presentation from Dr Jelena Rnjak-Kovacina, our 2019 ASBTE Emerging Investigator Award winner. The schedule is as follows:
May 7th: VIC
May 14th: QLD + SA + NZ
May 21st: NSW + ACT + WA
May 28th: Awards + Jelena Keynote. Followed by AGM

Each week, local chapters will have the opportunity to organise an in-person event, and stream proceedings via Zoom. Please plan to support our students and ECRs by attending in person or online!
There will be $200 prizes each week for best student and ECR presentations.
Registration and abstract submission
Online registration via the link below is mandatory for all who want to attend. The abstract template is attached to this email. Students and ECR presenters can upload their abstracts online using the same link:

Please submit your abstracts by Wednesday, April 28th.
Please note, this is a free event, and all are welcome to register and attend. However, only current financial ECR and Student members of ASBTE will be allowed to present and to be eligible for awards. Please join ASBTE or renew your past ASBTE membership now at the link here.

Join us for a 2 hour workshop on the basics of applying for your next position! Ideal for those preparing to submit their PhD thesis and looking for their first postdoctoral position, or ECRs looking for that next step up the ladder. Morning tea and friendly chats provided!

Reading a job description, preparing key selection criteria answers and writing an effective cover letter.
2. Get your CV into shape!
CV discussion and workshopping with peers and established researchers.
3. Apply for a position – what makes you stand out and get that interview
Q&A Panel discussion with senior ASBTE staff.
