Postdoctoral Fellowship in Polymer 3D Printing of Medical Devices

CSIRO is seeking applicants for a postdoctoral fellow in polymer 3D printing of medical devices. You will develop novel polymers for use in 3D printing of medical devices. 3D printing, the fabrication of 3D objects by printing them in a layer by layer process, is set to revolutionise manufacturing. Although polymers are ubiquitous, their use in 3D printers remains in its infancy. Current polymer resins have a limited range of properties well below those of their non-3D printed counterparts, and so are unsuitable for real-world applications. This project aims to develop new resins with properties suitable for medical devices. Location: Clayton VIC, Australia Salary: $80K - $91K
